Ставил и пробовал около десятка разных RSS-reader'ов - и все они тормозили страшно и устанавливали интернет-соединения сами, при попытки чтения лент после синхронизации.
И случайно нашел эту прогу, без перечисленныз недостатков и с очень гибкими настройками и полным кэшированием. Рекомендую всем! :-)
